How do the free upgrades work?
How to change to the new version depends on the game. Some games offer upgrades for both versions, some only for disk or digital. So you have to let you know if your version involves a free upgrade at all. If you check the check, you can proceed as follows:
- Press the game in the main menu of the PS5 that you want to upgrade, down or click on the game in your library.
- Select the three points next to "play".
- In the open menu, either you will be given the opportunity to select a PS5 version or to watch the product.
- No matter what option you choose from there you should have the opportunity to directly upgrade directly.
- Finish successfully the transaction and download the new PS5 version of the game.
Special control in Germany: Some of the free upgrades cost or cost 25 cents due to the age release of the game. In most games, Sony has now withdraws this extra cost now and the player: inside the money as PSN balance written well again.
Not every game has a free upgrade : It may be that some publishers do not offer a free upgrade of a PS4 game to the PS5, but bring a new version to the trade that you need to buy you then .
