The AMD RX 6000 series now has a new entry-level GPU targeting the 1080p and is still based on the RDNA architecture 2. It will not target the 4k at all, but promises "the experience of Game 1080p ultimate ". The new RX 6600 XT will be the new entry-level GPU, costing only $ 379.
The GPU will target players who do not want to break their piggy bank on the games and have only 1080p monitors. The market is undoubtedly very saturated with high-end GPUs trying to show their muscles. Small guys also deserve victory.
The RX 6600 XT will include 8 GB of RAM, 32 computing units, a boosted clock at 2589 MHz and consume 160 W of power.
Although cheap, the GPU promises to run high-end AAA games such as Battlefield 5 and CyberPunk 2077. It also offers 1,4 times better FPS than RX 5600 XT and RX5700 play tests.
With regard to the shortage of GPU which has been ramping since the beginning of the pandemic, AMD promises only that they do their best to provide and that "supply constraints" are real.
"But what happened in the last 12 months is that demand has largely exceeded our aggressive expectations. From our point of view, it is essentially to continue to increase the capacity because we have a demand so strong. AMD CEO, said in an interview.
The RX 6600 XT should go out on August 11.
